The Way Home - ebook
Henryk Langner’s volume of poetry, „The Road Home,” comprises 36 poems devoted to the history of Poland (from the partitions to the present day). These poems describe the arduous struggle of Poles against aggressors. This is the struggle of Poles to fulfill their dreams, to a free Poland, a homeland, and a better future for themselves and future generations. The author dedicated this collection of poems to these individuals. Gen. Witold Urbanowicz: „We do not beg for freedom, we fight for it!”

Beautiful as sunsets
Each
And its citizens
They are jealous
Our duration
They were and still are
They only can
Dream about it.

Who is mistaken for a king
He made our uprising.

They tried to destroy us
Forever
From the world map
And from history
We are still going
But why?

We have Cedynia and the battle
This is the first battle
And the defeated young German women.
And that was for Grunwald and 1410
It is the biggest battle
The Teutonic army also defeated
It is the greatest battle in history
In our history
At that time, she was known and admired.
The next one is Warsaw
This is a Bolshevik invasion
After 123 years, the Polish State was established
However, the formation of borders continued
Warsaw is not here
But for the enemy
Józef Piłsudski — a strategic genius
He is a national hero
Poles — winners
Bolshevik pigs — defeats
Poles are defenders of Polish
But also defenders of Europe
Europe flooded with red

But we are undefeated
The communists lose
The Nazis lose
We won!
